The healing power of liposomal vitamin C

(NaturalHealth365) Vitamin C is one of the most widely recognized and used antioxidants in the world. This essential nutrient plays a critical role in helping the immune system, joints and arteries heal and function properly. Liposomal vitamin C is a technological breakthrough in nutrient assimilation and offers incredible health benefits.
Much of our physiology is based on the movement of electrons from one compound to another. Unstable molecules that are missing an electron are called free radicals and they are catabolic to the body. These free radicals are formed in a cycle called oxidative stress that creates damage and instability in cells, tissues and organs in the body. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that acts to donate an electron to neutralize free radicals and restore peace and harmony to the body.

How does vitamin C reduce inflammation and boost immunity?

Vitamin C plays an important role in the health and function of the immune cells. White blood cells depend upon vitamin C in order to survive and withstand the attack of pathogens and free radicals. Vitamin C also plays an important role as an antihistamine and reduces inflammatory conditions associated with colds, fevers, allergies and the flu.
Vitamin C also plays an important role in the production of collagen which is the major constituent in ligaments, bones, discs, tendons and skin. High dose vitamin C has been shown to improve the healing process of burns, cuts, wounds, sprains/strains and broken bones. It is also extremely important for the health of the eyes and many experts believe that as little as 1,000 mg of liposomal vitamin C daily can stop cataracts.

Vitamin C is safe and effective for cancer patients

Environmental toxins damage cells and intracellular organelles leading to altered cellular metabolism and genetic mutations. Vitamin C has powerful antioxidant properties that protect against the oxidative stress against the cell. High doses of vitamin C are even more important when large cancerous growths already exist within the body. Oral vitamin C does not directly attack cancer but it helps to keep the immune system strong and empowers it to destroy the cancer.
An IV dosage of vitamin C acts as a pro-oxidant that forms hydrogen peroxide and acts as a chemotherapy type of agent that destroys cancer cell formation. Liposomal vitamin C acts to prevent the oxidative stress that alters intracellular organelles and genetic mutations. It also acts to prevent the chronic inflammation that allows mutant cells to develop into fast growing cancerous tumors.
This should never be used alone as a cancer therapy but as an adjunct in conjunction with a full-fledged natural or traditional medical protocol.

Reduce heart disease with vitamin C

Vitamin C helps to protect the arterial walls throughout the body. The blood vessels that are most important and under the most stress are the coronary arteries that feed the heart muscle. Vitamin C helps reduce infections and other forms of oxidative stress that affect these blood vessels. It also prevents the oxidation of cholesterol in the bloodstream.
Vitamin C also improves lung function and overall oxygenation within the body. Asthmatics tend to have a higher need for vitamin C and doses of 2,000 mg per day lessen the body’s production of histamine and lung associated inflammation.
Vitamin C also improves blood sugar stability which is particularly important for individuals with heart disease and diabetes. When blood sugar is elevated and not properly monitored in the body the sugar molecules bind to proteins in the body and form advanced glycolytic end products (AGE’s). These AGE’s create rampant amounts of tissue damaging oxidative stress in the body.
So, a dosage of 1,000-3,000 mg per day drives down AGE formation and improves circulation and tissue oxygenation.

What is the best ‘delivery system’ for vitamin C?

Much of our biological chemistry is based around water and fat solubility. Just as water and oil do not mix there are challenges involved with bringing a water soluble nutrient into a fat soluble matrix such as the cell membranes. This incompatibility leads to lower rates of nutrient uptake and utilization within the cell.
Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin and it doesn’t interact particularly efficiently with the cell membrane wall this is made up of fatty acids. Estimates are that oral vitamin C intake has a 20% absorption rate into the bloodstream with the other 80% accumulating in the colon. Oral vitamin C intake is also associated with unpleasant digestive complaints such as cramping and diarrhea because it draws water into the colon.

Liposomal vitamin C improves absorption rate

Liposomes are tiny “nano-size” fat soluble vehicles for carrying nutrients to the body’s cells. Dr Alec Banham, a hematologist at the Babraham Institute in Cambridge, UK discovered the liposomal technology. “Lipo” is Greek for fat while “soma” means body. These are a double layer of fatty materials which is similar to the phospholipid bilayer of the cell membranes in the body.
Liposomal vitamin C is packaged like a bodily cell so it passes through the digestive barrier and delivers the nutrient directly to the bloodstream. This has a much higher absorption rate with over 90% of the cells being bathed in vitamin C. Some experts suggest that liposomal vitamin C is vastly superior to IV vitamin C – an expensive but effective procedure that is done quite often in hospitals and alternative health clinics.
Editor’s note: In some cases, IV vitamin C is the best option to dramatically increase the blood levels of vitamin C – especially with regard to serious health conditions like, cancer.

A word of caution about the ‘right’ liposomes

Liposomal size plays an important role in its ability to hold the greatest volume of vitamin C. The correct size should be between 100 to 400 nanometers in size. They should be quality tested at a FDA regulated facility to ensure safety and quality.
The best carrier for liposomal vitamin C is phosphatidylcholines (PC) – which helps to hold the liposomes together. Ideal ranges should be between 250-500 mg of PC per dose in a liposomal vitamin C formula. This PC should be derived from a non-GMO sunflower or soybean lecithin.

Case study proves the healing power of liposomal vitamin C

New Zealand dairy farmer Alan Smith had a miraculous recovery from a coma induced by leukemia and severe double lung pneumonia. Doctors were ready to pull the plug on him when the family begged them to try high dose IV vitamin C. Alan began showing positive results after the doctors administered 50-100 grams of IV vitamin C.
Unfortunately, the doctors at the hospital who were relatively uneducated on vitamin C were concerned about any possible complications with the high dose IV vitamin C. They dropped the dosage to 2g of vitamin C and Alan began to struggle for survival again. His family began giving him 6 grams of oral liposomal vitamin C and within weeks he was significantly better and was discharged from the hospital.

IV vitamin C versus liposomal vitamin C

Some experts in the field of vitamin C such as, Thomas Levy, MD, JD, are saying that 6 grams of liposomal vitamin C is equivalent to 50 grams of intravenous vitamin C. Intravenous vitamin C elevates blood levels of vitamin C significantly higher, however, without the liposomal membrane this water soluble vitamin C is unable to efficiently penetrate the cell membrane.
Oral vitamin C acts as an antioxidant to reduce oxidative stress in the body. Intravenous vitamin C is a pro-oxidant that helps produce hydrogen peroxide – which targets cancer cells while leaving normal cells unharmed. So it does have great benefits in advanced cancer patients.
The cell membrane blocks much of the vitamin C that is in the bloodstream from getting into the cell. The liposomal membrane is able to fuse with the same material and configuration that resides on cell walls. This results in a lower minimal necessary dosage and saves a tremendous amount of money and stress to the consumer.
Intravenous vitamin C treatments cost between $125 – $160 a session. Typical sessions last around two hours. A daily dosage of 6g of Liposomal vitamin C costs less than $5 per day and takes no time at all. It does not require a doctor or needles and is very easy and user friendly to administer.

Here are ‘typical’ liposomal vitamin C protocols

For an individual with no major symptoms or diagnosis that wants good general health: 1-2 grams is optimal. Simply take 1,000 mg, 1-2 x daily
Extreme athlete or individual with major health challenges: 4-6 grams is optimal. Simply take 2,000 mg, 2-3x daily
In cases of ‘extreme’ disease – like late stage infections, cancer or heart disease: 8-12 grams is optimal. Simply take 4,000 mg, 2-3 x daily
With liposomal vitamin C, I like to be aggressive – so I would take the upper dosage and if you notice any complications (such as high or low blood pressure, dizziness, nausea, cramping or diarrhea) try cutting down to the lower dosage and observe for any changes.

Are there any complications with using vitamin C?

One of the contraindications for vitamin C usage is a glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency. This is an inherited condition where the individual doesn’t have the G6PD enzyme. G6PD helps the body to function normally and very high dose vitamin C infusions or very high dose liposomal vitamin D has a possibility of causing hemolytic anemia.
Note: A G6PD deficiency is an extremely rare situation – but should always be tested before taking a high dose of IV vitamin C.
Other contraindications would include allergens to the liposomal compounds such as sunflower lecithin. Individuals who are pregnant, young children and taking blood thinning medications should use smaller dosages. It is always advisable to discuss vitamin C therapy with your doctor before beginning – although most doctors have very little experience with this.
Those with iron overload should understand that vitamin C increases the absorption of iron into the body, especially in the heart where it can cause problems. Ferritin levels should ideally be no more than 150 (in women) and 250 – 300 (for men). If you are above those levels, donating blood would be a great idea. Also, wait 2-3 hours after taking the liposomal vitamin C before eating red meat or anything else that is high in iron – if iron levels are high.

Benefits of Black Seed Oil (Nigella Sativa)

For hundreds of years, Asians have used black seeds to create black seed oil. The oil became useful as a natural remedy for treating several common health conditions naturally. This is because the oil contains several medicinal properties that are healing to the body.

What is Nigella Sativa?
Nigella Sative is a delicate flowering white and blue plant that grows in southwest Asia. The beautiful plant can have up to ten flower petals before it produces a fruit. Then, the fruit is harvested and the seeds are removed from it and used to create black cumin spice and black seed oil. Black seed oil is commonly used the most because of how it treats various health conditions naturally.
What are the health benefits of black seed oil?
  1. Black seed oil is effective at treating many common health conditions because it contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties and antibacterial and viral properties.
  2. The oil also acts as a natural pain reliever and digestive aid. It can even be used to calm allergies due to its natural ability to block histamines within the body.
  3. Females use the oil to help promote menstruation if their cycle is late and new moms use the remedy to help increase milk production for easier breastfeeding.
  4. During cold and flu season, the oil is useful for making warm teas to help prevent the common cold and flu from occurring, but the oil is also fantastic for relieving cold and flu symptoms as well if you do become ill.
  5. Black seed oil is also helpful when it comes to relieving muscle cramps and spasms because it contains a medicinal component in it that helps calm the muscle down so it can be at rest.

Glutamine

Glutamine is an amino acid (a building block for proteins), found naturally in the body.

Glutamine is used to counter some of the side effects of medical treatments. For example, it is used for side effects of cancer chemotherapy including diarrhea, pain and swelling inside the mouth (mucositis), nerve pain (neuropathy), and muscle and joint pains caused by the cancer drug Taxol. Glutamine is also used to protect the immune system and digestive system in people undergoing radiochemotherapy for cancer of the esophagus. Additionally, glutamine is used for improving recovery after bone marrow transplant or bowel surgery, increasing well-being in people who have suffered traumatic injuries, and preventing infections in critically ill people.

Some people use glutamine for digestive system conditions such as stomach ulcers, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease. It is also used for depression, moodiness, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, and enhancing exercise performance.

People who have HIV (AIDS) sometimes use glutamine to prevent weight loss (HIV wasting).

Glutamine is also used for attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a urinary condition called cystinuria, sickle cellanemia, and for alcohol withdrawal support.

Glutamine powder can be ordered through most wholesale drug suppliers. Glutamine for commercial use is made by a fermentation process using bacteria that produce glutamine.

How does it work?
Glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in the body. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Glutamine is produced in the muscles and is distributed by the blood to the organs that need it. Glutamine might help gut function, the immune system, and other essential processes in the body, especially in times of stress. It is also important for providing "fuel" (nitrogen and carbon) to many different cells in the body. Glutamine is needed to make other chemicals in the body such as other amino acids and glucose (sugar).

After surgery or traumatic injury, nitrogen is necessary to repair the wounds and keep the vital organs functioning. About one third of this nitrogen comes from glutamine.

If the body uses more glutamine than the muscles can make (i.e., during times of stress), muscle wasting can occur. This can occur in people with HIV/AIDS. Taking glutamine supplements might keep the glutamine stores up.

Some types of chemotherapy can reduce the levels of glutamine in the body. Glutamine treatment is thought to help prevent chemotherapy-related damage by maintaining the life of the affected tissues.

USES
Possibly Ineffective for:
A urinary problem called cystinuria.
An intestinal condition called Crohn’s disease.
Improving exercise performance.
Rehydrating infants with severe diarrhea.

Insufficient Evidence for:
Muscle and joint pains caused by the drug paclitaxel (Taxol, used to treat cancer). There is some evidence that glutamine might help to reduce muscle and joint pains caused by paclitaxel.
Reducing damage to the immune system during cancer treatment. Research findings are contradictory.
Diarrhea resulting from treatment with anti-cancer drugs. There is some evidence that glutamine might help to prevent diarrhea after chemotherapy, but not all research findings agree.
Nutrition problems after major gut surgery (short bowel syndrome). Researchers have studied whether glutamine combined with growth hormone is effective in treating short bowel syndrome. This combination seems to help some patients become less dependent on tube feeding. Glutamine alone doesn’t seem to be effective.
  • Depression.
  • Moodiness.
  • Irritability.
  • Anxiety.
  • Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
  • Insomnia.
  • Stomach ulcers.
  • Ulcerative colitis.
  • Sickle cell anemia.
  • Treating alcoholism.
  • Other conditions.
More evidence is needed to rate glutamine for these uses.

SIDE EFFECTS

Glutamine is POSSIBLY SAFE for most adults and children when taken by mouth, but the potential side effects of glutamine are not known.

Adults should avoid using more than 40 grams of glutamine daily. Children, age 3 to 18, should not be given doses that are larger than 0.65 grams per kg of weight per day. Not enough is known about the safety of higher doses in children.
Special Precautions & Warnings:
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Not enough is known about the use of glutamine during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.

Severe liver disease with difficulty thinking or confusion (hepatic encephalopathy): Glutamine could make this condition worse. Don’t use it.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) sensitivity (also known as "Chinese restaurant syndrome"): If you are sensitive to MSG, you might also be sensitive to glutamine, because the body converts glutamine to glutamate.

Mania, a mental disorder: Glutamine might cause some mental changes in people with mania. Avoid use.

Seizures: There is some concern that glutamine might increase the likelihood of seizures in some people. Avoid use.

INTERACTIONS

Moderate Interaction Be cautious with this combination
Lactulose interacts with GLUTAMINE
Lactulose helps decrease ammonia in the body. Glutamine is changed into ammonia in the body. Taking glutamine along with lactulose might decrease the effectiveness of lactulose.

Medications for cancer (Chemotherapy) interacts with GLUTAMINE
There is some concern that glutamine might decrease the effectiveness of some medications for cancer. But it is too soon to know if this interaction occurs.

Medications used to prevent seizures (Anticonvulsants) interacts with GLUTAMINE
Medications used to prevent seizures affect chemicals in the brain. Glutamine may also affect chemicals in the brain. By affecting chemicals in the brain, glutamine may decrease the effectiveness of medications used to prevent seizures.

Some medications used to prevent seizures include phenobarbital, primidone (Mysoline), valproic acid (Depakene), gabapentin (Neurontin), carbamazepine (Tegretol), phenytoin (Dilantin), and others.

DOSING
The following doses have been studied in scientific research:

By Mouth
For reducing mouth soreness due to chemotherapy: glutamine suspension 4 grams, swish and swallow every four hours around the clock starting with the first dose of chemotherapy and continued until hospital discharge or resolution of symptoms.
For HIV wasting: 8-40 grams per day has been used. However, 40 grams daily may work best.

VEGETABLE SOURCES OF GLUTAMINE
All types of beans/legumes are protein-rich and good sources of glutamine, especially for vegetarians. Other vegetables that contain glutamine include cabbage, beets, spinach, kale, parsley, wheatgrass and wheat. In general, raw vegetables are richer sources of glutamine than cooked vegetables because proteins and amino acids can become denatured and unavailable to the body, according to “Advanced Nutrition: Macronutrients, Micronutrients and Metabolism."

CANCER IS CURABLE DOCUMENTARY

The cancer industry is a multi-billion-dollar industry. This in depth documentary combines information from many experts around the world and must be shared to tell the truth about cancer and how it can be cured naturally.
Cancer is no longer a disease, it is an industry, a 100 billion dollar industry. Cancer is Curable Now was made three years ago by by Marcus and Sabrina Freudenmann, and circulated in DVD form. It pooled a mass of information from more than 30 experts in holistic healing and natural medicine, who have all been working passionately in the field of cancer alternatives, including doctors, scientists, researchers and writers from around the world.
However the makers have now updated the bestselling documentary and have added a lot more content. They detail all causes leading to cancer, with how each cause can be removed one after the other. Many more treatments and protocols have been added into this new edition helping you to prevent or even stop cancer from growing.
It is available on YouTube so is available for everyone to watch

It begins with an overview of the problem and covers the major issues involved with mainstream oncology. It then moves to interview experts who are the top of the field in treating the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the disease.

The documentary explains some of the holistic treatments used in the top clinics all over the world; such as ozone therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, insulin potentiated treatments and all the forms of hyperthermia, with the top doctors from these clinics explaining in detail how each treatment works.
Not only does this documentary contain a vast amount of knowledge, it is also presented in such a way that it can be understood by anyone, whether they already have some awareness of natural cures or whether this is the first time they have ever heard there is anything apart from the mainstream alternative of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Nutrition heals, we must eat a diet rich in raw organic vegetables keeping our bodies alkaline, avoiding refined salt, sugar and processed foods. Our environment bombards us with all sorts of cancer causing toxins, in food, pesticides and plastics to name just a few sources. This film helps inform us how to be healthy and stay healthy.
